Bir al–Sahaba (O)

When the Holy Family reached the well of Bir al-Sahaba, a few km. south of Bani Hasan (there is no road) and north of Dayr Abu Hinnis in the desert, they found no water. Jesus wanted to return to the Nile to get water, but suddenly a large cloud appeared which provided them with shade against the burning sun, and a well was formed. The well which is 23 m. deep, is a familiar site to expectant mothers and diseased people, whether Muslims or Christians, who believe in its blessings.
